In the spirit of celebration,  I would like to offer a yummy, sweet and salty Halloween recipe. No baking involved!

 

Halloween Candy Popcorn Balls

Ingredients:

30 marshmallows

1 1/2 tablespoons butter

10 cups popped popcorn

2 cups assorted Halloween candy

Additional butter for greasing hands

 

Place waxed paper on a large countertop surface or on several baking sheets. Melt the marshmallows and butter in the microwave until smooth. Toss the marshmallows with the popcorn and candy until thoroughly coated. Using well-buttered hands, form the popcorn and candy into small balls. You will need to regrease your hands multiple times while making the balls to prevent sticking. Place the formed balls on the waxed paper and let dry for at least two hours before eating. If it is very humid out, store in an airtight container or else the balls will absorb the moisture and get sticky.

 

Makes 15 popcorn balls.

Cooking Time: 1 minute

Total Time: 11 minutes
