- Scottie Pippen and Pete Myers both completed four-point plays versus Atlanta, becoming the first pair in NBA history to achieve this in the same game on March 8, 1994. A four point play is when an offensive player shoots and makes a three point field goal while simultaneously being hit by a defensive player, resulting in a shooting foul. If the player makes the free throw shot, it results in a four point play.
- On March 9, 1971, the Chicago Bulls broke the Milwaukee Bucks’ 20-game winning streak by defeating the Bucks 110-103 in overtime. Tom Boerwinkle grabbed 33 rebounds in this victory.
- Larry Bird of the Boston Celtics recorded the highest-scoring game of his career on March 12, 1985, when he scored 60 points. Dominique Wilkins scored 36 points for the Atlanta Hawks in one of these two superstars’ top battles, but the Celtics outlasted the Hawks 126-115.
- On March 14, 1998, Michael Jordan became the Bulls all-time leading rebounder, passing Tom Boerwinkle.
