There was a time when it was impossible not to hear the Jonas Brothers, of early-2000s Disney Channel fame, all over TV and radio. But then there were six years of silence from the band.

At the end of February, however, the JoBros surprised their fans with an unanticipated reunion. They announced their return to the music world via Instagram.

On March 1, they released their new hit single, “Sucker.” Upbeat and heartfelt, the track is about being head-over-heels in love with someone. They sing, “It’s true, I’m a sucker for you.” Ottilie Young of the Edge calls it “their best song yet.”

The group’s faithful fan base of “Jonatics,” stirred to action by the new release, helped the group to quickly reach the top spot on Billboard Hot 100, and it became the fifth highest-selling song of the year so far.

We haven’t heard from the Jonas Brothers since their last release, “LiVe” a live album they put out in November of 2013. After that, the brothers branched out in a number of creative and personal directions.

Joe and Nick continued to work on their music while Kevin focused on family, raising two daughters with his wife, who he married in 2009.

Joe worked with his new successful band DNCE, and together they produced a few popular hits including “Cake by the Ocean.”

Nick performed on Broadway and spent time releasing his own music as a solo artist. All three of the brothers managed to either get engaged or married during that time off, as well, and all of their significant others guest starred in the music video for their new song.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, married to Nick, Sophie Turner, engaged to Joe, and Danielle Jonas, who married Kevin, all make appearances in the lavish and fun music video.

Since the Jonas Brothers is a band that’s been all about family from the very beginning, adding their growing families into the mix doesn’t seem far-fetched at all.

The music video was shot in England at the famous Hatfield House, built in 1611, and proved to be an opulent visual background for the families and their corgis.

Some of the props and costumes included grandiose wardrobes composed of fluffy large pink skirts and funky head pieces at outdoor tea parties.

The sheer elaborateness of the video helped it to reach 17 million views in just 24 hours, which helped it become one of the most watched videos of the year so far.

With so much excitement surrounding the band getting back together, fans are surely to be disappointed if they fall back apart. (That is, after all, what happened in 2013 amid talk of a long-awaited fifth studio album.)

With all the excitement in the air, though—both from fans and from the brothers themselves—it seems like they’re back in earnest.

With any luck, it won’t take until the “Year 3000” for another album from the band of brothers.
