The Shorewomen played a Centennial conference game against Swarthmore College October 14. It was an away game at Swarthmore, PA. The game resulted in a 2-0 loss for Washington.
Swarthmore's freshman back scored the two goals of the game during the second half. Her two consecutive goals were within seven minutes of each other. Her first goal was unassisted and the second one was with the help of senior midfielder Annalise Paaby.
Even though the first half of the game remained scoreless, Swarthmore still outshot the Shorewomen 10-2. They continued to outshoot them in the second half too, 9-0.
Washington's goalie, junior Quin Bowman, saved thirteen shots. This is her fifth game with double-figure saves of the season. Swarthmore's goalie, senior Emily Manetta made two saves while their second goalie, junior Sari Altschuler also made two saves.
The last home game of the season was played against Dickinson on Saturday, the 16th. This game was followed with another loss for the Centennial conference record. The final score was 4-2.
For Washington, both goals were scored by junior forward Niki Dennison in the second half of the game. Dickinson's scorers were senior midfielder Sara Boles who scored a goal and also helped with an assist. Her goal was the first one of the game.
Then freshman Amy Montalbano gave the visitors a 2-0 lead with her goal. Sophomore Ellen Laird scored the third goal of the game. The final goal was scored by junior midfielder Gina Guiducci.
Dennison's goals were scored back to back with assists from freshmen Sarah Phloem's and Kristen Bozzella.
Dickinson had an advantage on corner kicks 6-4. Washington goalie, Bowman saved 12 shots, while Dickinson saved 15.
The team's final record for the season is 3-10 overall and 2-6 in the conference.
