The WC men's basketball program looks towards its new coach and returning players for another successful season.
Three seniors graduated from last years squad, which leaves this year's team with five seniors, four juniors, and two freshmen. The roster includes seniors Greg Adams, Will Adelsberger, Antoine Bellin, Earl Piner, and Alhamisi Simms; juniors Don Brandenburg, Aaron Goode, Brian Mason, and Ryan Plews; and freshmen David Horvath and Jeff McMahon.
Newly-appointed Interim Head Coach Michael Hart commented, "Senior leadership is key, but everyone on the team will be an important asset since everyone can take on different roles on and off the court."
Last season, the Shoremen had a 13-13 record. "The upperclassmen have shown signs of improvement over last year's games and are continually working hard in both practices and scrimmages," said Hart. "They also have a positive outlook on the upcoming season."
From what the team has displayed so far in preseason, they have been playing consistently and are also working hard.
The Shoremen kick off the season this weekend as they play in the College of New Jersey Tournament.
The first home game of the season will take place on November 28 at 7:30 p.m. when they take on Mary Washington College.
