Men's tennis keeps rolling

The Washington College men's tennis team improved their overall record to 13-1 and 5-0 in the Centennial Conference this week with a win over Johns Hopkins University.

Junior Jose Lejarraga won his first singles match 6-4, 6-3. In the second singles match Seth Morgan won 6-1, 6-1. Senior Bart Prytula took the third singles 6-1, 4-6, 10-5 while freshman Peter Taylor coasted to a win in fourth singles 6-1, 6-0.

Tomas Budmir came from behind to win fifth singles 0-6, 6-2, 10-8, and Alvaro Prado won his sixth singles match. The Shoremen also won all three doubles matches to sweep the contest from the Blue Jays (3-7, 2-4 CC).

The Shoremen retain their ranking of #2 overall. The team will close out its Centennial Conference season and, after the conference championships, will look to travel to the NCAA Rolex Championships to pick up another NCAA Division III title.
