The Washington College women's rowing team entered one boat in the women's club four at last weekends 37th annual Head of the Charles regatta in Boston, MA.
The event, the largest crew event in the world, is where the top teams around the world come to test themselves against the best of the best.
Sophomore coxswain sophomore Amy Levak guided the boat across the finish line at 19:28.26. The Shorewomen were the first collegiate team to complete the race. Senior Brianne Brynelson sat stroke, while sophomore Sara Beegle and sophomore Kelly McGlynn sat third and fourth, respectively. Senior and captain Hilary Wurzbach was the team's bow.
The ladies finished an impressive fourth overall out of a 58 boat race.
The Shorewomen return to action tomorrow when the entire team will race at the Head of Schuykill Regatta in Pennslyvania.
