The Washington College men and women's rowing teams each competed in two regattas this past weekend. Both the men's and women's teams entered one boat in the Head of Charles Regatta in Boston, MA, while the rest of both teams competed in the Tapke Chase held on the Chester River.

Many top club and collegiate crews from across the nation participate in the Head of Charles; Walburn commented, "We did get 19th out of 20, but you have to take into account the fact that we raced in the championship four, against several Olympic teams and the top Division I schools. We were ranked last, and we did beat NYU, so we went up in the rankings. And most importantly, we raced harder and better than we have all season."
